Titanic Shipwreck
Titanic: "Ship of Dreams", "The Unsinkable Ship", and now the "Most Famous Shipwreck of All". Known by many different names, the Titanic will never be forgotten.
Titanic set off from the docks of Southampton in early
April 1912, on it's maiden voyage, carrying 2,220 passengers. While
speeding toward New
York City, the Titanic struck an iceberg only minutes before midnight on April
14. Titanic was swallowed by the sea in less than three hours.
1,513 passengers died with her that night.
Titanic is now at the bottom of the sea, but the dreadful occurrences of April 14, 1912 live on in the minds and hearts of us all.
